Cape Coral offers both waterfront and off-water condos and townhomes. These units are popular with “Snow Bird” investors and young professionals. Not all associations allow pets and some have leasing and age restrictions. Some condo associations require that at least one of the purchasers be 55 years of age or older. Buyers should check with their Realtor for specific restrictions.
Many of the condos in Southwest Florida were built in the 1970s and 1980s. This unique housing type ranges from entry-level to luxurious waterfront living. Developers have added to the inventory recently, introducing new products with Mediterranean flair, and with extra amenities like clubhouses, community pools and walking paths. Both gated and non-gated communities are available in the diverse Cape Coral real estate market.
